So I am giving this exceptional review mainly because of Daniel the service manager. Because ultimately in our situation the radiator had a factory defect and they ultimately replaced it. We love our vehicle we purchased the Atlas, it’s very comfortable and works perfectly for our family, the sells process was easy and we did not feel pressured at all, and in the service area everyone is very professional and helpful in general even though we had delays in getting our vehicle properly diagnosed and the issue resolved and at least one error in service had been made in a previous visit. Since Daniel took ownership and was so honest and made certain everything was working properly we have no issues with the service department . However, I want to give a fair warning to everyone who plans on purchasing a Volkswagen, there are some manufacturers policies that I absolutely do not agree with and they make the whole process of choosing a Volkswagen a bit confusing and concerning. First off when you take your car in to be looked at you sign a standard agreement about paying for diagnostics fee about $200 I don’t have an issue with that -it’s pretty standard. I do have an issue with the fact in some cases meaning Volkswagen cooperation policy not to pay for the time it takes to properly diagnose an issue- on a vehicle. Of course this puts the employees in the service department in a precarious situation, I was told more than one time, with three different service representatives after bringing my car back continuously for the same issue that if it turned out not to be a factory related issue that I have to pay close to $700 just for diagnostics. This floored me, and it concerns me as former investigative reporter if people are being treated fairly and if some of them are for going have their vehicles properly diagnosed. I purchased my vehicle less than 2 years ago right off the show room floor however just now they were able to determine that it was a factory defect only after totally taking my front of car apart pulling out the radiator and figuring out and documenting the damage and what the issues was however as per the corporate offices guidelines they possibly where not going to pay for all the time and work that it took to professionally diagnose the problem. The workers should not have to go through a bunch of hoopla to get a proper diagnosis and get something covered that is part of what a person already purchased. And I as a customer and consumer of the vehicle are then left with concerns about if I made the right choice in choosing to purchase a Volkswagen. Can I trust the manufacturer? To stand by and deliver the product that I am so significantly invested. So, I am giving this 5 starts because of the local branch of Volkswagen but if I was strictly rating the brand Volkswagen especially in comparison to the other four major car manufacturers out there that I have personally purchased from when buying the over 10 plus cars purchases I made in past 30 years I probably only give them 4 or 3.6 starts because of this experience and specifically because of this corporate policy and position by Volkswagen.

I was so frustrated after Take5 did a horrible oil change on my car causing my engine to be covered in oil. I initially went to random mechanic who was charging 2x what Volkswagen ended up charging (normally go elsewhere afraid of the dealership bill right?)Andre assisted me and my car was diagnosed and fixed so promptly I wasn’t even ready to pick it up. My car is fixed and I will be returning for any of my car needs going forward.
